We had a great run/walk yesterday and today we have reached our goal for 2016 city to bay. Thank you SO MUCH for all your support! This campaign is supporting the Progeria Reseach Foundation in the new trial where an additional drug called everolimus has been added to lonarfanib, this is expected to improve the situation of many kids that live with Progeria, and Enzo will also be part of it. Thank you SO MUCH ! Together we will find the cure !!! A note from Enzo Since my diagnostic my childcare’s staff, Warrandale Community Center - Park Holme, had participated in CITY TO BAY FUN RUN to raise awareness for PROGERIA. This year, I am got to to walk the 3KMS together with the friends that have been supporting us during the pass two years! Special thanks to each of you for being on our side supporting us in this journey of hope.
We don't have extended family in Australia, but we have great FRIENDS. Great 'tios' for Enzo, very special ones as Tia Julie Baker, that always makes Enzo feels so special. Tios that support every event as Tio Luis and Tia Michelle. Everyone is doing their bit to keep Enzo safe and healthy, we hope one day soon we can write a different story with a very happy ending for Enzo and all the kids around the world suffering from Progeria. Thank you ALL I am speechless....I have just received a message with the total amount of money we raised on behalf of TEAM ENZO for Progeria Research Foundation last weekend.
I would have never thought that the initial idea of getting together with a bunch of brazilian girls on a monthly basis and dance to some of the song we used to " a few" years ago.....would turn into regular fundraisers. During our 2nd lesson it was suggested our next class should support PRF....and once again... wonders of destiny. Our search for a venue for our class turned into an invitation to have a brazilian sweets stall over the weekend at La Bomba ' s fringe. At first we wondered if we could pull it off....but we were soon overwhelmed with messages from sooo many people offering to bake and donate amazing treats......each of them made with so much love and care for little Enzo and his beautiful family. Today.....I have been informed of the total amount raised:
If dancing with a bunch of funny girls wasn't enough.....we have created this circle of love and giving which I am so very grateful to be a part of. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have in some way supported our crazy ideas....and special thank you to the amazing Juliana Bernardi Munro for organising us all.
