Enzo has been embraced by his school in such a positive and wholesome way. These last 7 years have been filled with positive stories, so many milestones ....it's hard to believe and come to terms with the fact that he only has a few more days left as a student of St Mary’s Memorial.
St Marys Memorial school have celebrated HatsOn for Progeria since Enzo started in reception. It has been such a special day for us as a family... watching students and staff alike, arrive at the school proudly wearing TeamEnzo hats- because they wanted to create awareness, but mostly because they all LOVE Enzo. For that, we are forever grateful. We know everyone is different and we have to accept each other they way we are. We like to always remember Enzo's favourite saying: “Be happy, always smile and enjoy life”. However, as much as we know all of this rationally , we certainly don't take for granted the support Enzo has received at this school. It has, no doubt, been one of the pillars for his emotional and psychological development and wellbeing. We have no doubt that Enzo's current levels of happiness, confidence and self-esteem are a result of the love and acceptance he has received from the SMMs community. A heartfelt Thank you to Lily for organising the event, Beck for always being a back up and Nat for supporting this cause. As Enzo's primary school cycle gets to an end - we thought it would be nice to look back and remember some of the highlights of the past 7 years. We hope you enjoy it! The Southern Cross - Friday December 15, 2023 Graduating from primary school is a milestone in the life of any child but it was especially significant for St Mary’s Memorial School Year 6 student Enzo Cornejo.
