 Each year, Team Enzo comes together for the City-to-Bay Fun Run in Adelaide, and 2025 marks a truly special milestone. Earlier this year, Enzo underwent a successful Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)—a life-extending procedure that has given him more precious years to walk, roll, and smile his way through this beloved event.
On September 21, Enzo will once again take on the 6km course, often in his wheelchair, surrounded by a sea of green shirts and smiling faces. His team—made up of family, friends, teachers, and supporters—will walk, run, and cheer their way through the 3km, 6km, and 12km routes, united by one mission: to raise awareness and funds for Enzo’s ongoing medical care and participation in life-changing clinical trials in Boston. Funds raised go directly to the Enzo Cornejo Necessitous Circumstances Fund, helping cover:

We have no words to describe how grateful we are for the day we had. For all the continous support of many people that made it possible for us to participate in this event.
Thank you to Bunnings and all their beautiful staff for the opportunity. On a positive note, we are happy to share that recent trials run by The Progeria Research Foundation (PRF) have shown their treatments extend the lifespan of children with Progeria until their early twenties. In 2020, the first treatment arising from these trials was approved in the USA. We are very fortunate that Enzo has been able to participate in these trials. At the moment, we are waiting for a new trial run by PRF to begin in late 2024; we are hopeful that these trials will further extend the lifespan of children with Progeria. A whole year has passed and we would like this opportunity to once again thank you for all your help and support. This has been quite the year for all of us. Between bushfires, floods and a pandemic. What an awesome busy beautiful day. Not only we were able to raise $2,050 from the sausage sales, $226 tins donation and $110 internet donation (thank you Vicki & Jamie) we also were able to raise awareness about Progeria. Thank you to all Bunnings customers and our friends that came along and enjoyed a DELICIOUS sausage. With the support of our team and volunteers yesterday was another successful activity. Carola, Con, Chris, Diane, Enzo, Javier, John, Johnny, Julie, Leila, Lili, Marita, Marg, Mia, Morna, Percy, Richard, Tash - THANK YOU for giving us your time yesterday and working so hard for Team Enzo.
